The court is in Suite 440 of the Patrick V. McNamara Federal Building at 477 Michigan Avenue, on the western edge of downtown Detroit near Cass Avenue and Washington Boulevard.

The Building

The Patrick V. McNamara Federal Building is a Brutalist concrete tower of about 27 floors, opened in 1976 to a design by Smith, Hinchman & Grylls and named for U.S. Senator Patrick V. McNamara; the Immigration Court occupies Suite 440.

Jurisdiction

Detroit is the seat of Wayne County and Michigan's largest city. Its immigration court serves the region within the Sixth Circuit.
