Baton Rouge Immigration Court: Opening, Address and the Judges EOIR Has Assigned
EOIR opened the Baton Rouge Immigration Court in October 2025 and has since assigned four new judges there. Address, hours and what it means for you.
Check your hearing date at the Baton Rouge Immigration Court
EOIR’s free Automated Case Information portal shows the date, time and court of your next hearing: enter your A-number (the 8 or 9 digits after the “A” on your Notice to Appear or hearing notice; put a 0 in front of an 8-digit number) and choose your nationality. The same information is on EOIR’s line, 1-800-898-7180, 24 hours a day, in English and Spanish.
- What the result means: a master hearing is a short calendar hearing; an individual hearing is the merits hearing. “No case found for this A-Number” can mean the Notice to Appear has not been filed with the court yet. Your written hearing notice is the official source — if the two differ, call the Baton Rouge Immigration Court at (225) 412-5398.
- Moved? File Form EOIR-33/IC with the court that has your case within five days (8 C.F.R. § 1003.15(d)(2)). A USCIS change of address does not update the court.
- Missed a hearing? An order of removal entered in your absence can sometimes be reopened — see our guide to in absentia orders.
