Getting There

The court is on the 15th floor (Suite 1500) at 55 East Monroe Street, in Chicago's Loop — on the south side of Monroe Street between Wabash Avenue and Michigan Avenue, one block west of Millennium Park. The court relocated here in 2023 from its former West Loop home on West Van Buren Street.

The Building

The host building, 55 East Monroe — originally Mid-Continental Plaza, completed in 1972 to a design by Alfred Shaw & Associates — is a 51-story International Style tower whose upper floors were converted to residences in 2013.

Jurisdiction

Chicago is the seat of Cook County and the third-largest U.S. city. The Chicago Immigration Court hears matters arising across the region, within the Seventh Circuit.
