The Building

The Minton-Capehart Federal Building is an eight-story Brutalist landmark completed in 1975 to a design by Evans Woollen, wrapped in Milton Glaser's 672-foot "Color Fuses" mural (restored in 2012); the Immigration Court occupies Suite 617.

Jurisdiction

Indianapolis is Indiana's capital and largest city. This newer court — opened in 2025 — serves the region within the Seventh Circuit.
