The court is in Suite 617 of the Minton-Capehart Federal Building at 575 North Pennsylvania Street, in downtown Indianapolis across from the American Legion Mall, near Michigan and New York Streets.
IndyGo bus routes serve the downtown area and the Red Line bus rapid transit runs nearby corridors; paid garages and street parking serve the district.
The Minton-Capehart Federal Building is an eight-story Brutalist landmark completed in 1975 to a design by Evans Woollen, wrapped in Milton Glaser's 672-foot "Color Fuses" mural (restored in 2012); the Immigration Court occupies Suite 617.
Indianapolis is Indiana's capital and largest city. This newer court — opened in 2025 — serves the region within the Seventh Circuit.
