Check your hearing date at the Van Nuys Immigration Court
EOIR’s free Automated Case Information portal shows the date, time and court of your next hearing: enter your A-number (the 8 or 9 digits after the “A” on your Notice to Appear or hearing notice; put a 0 in front of an 8-digit number) and choose your nationality. The same information is on EOIR’s line, 1-800-898-7180, 24 hours a day, in English and Spanish.
- What the result means: a master hearing is a short calendar hearing; an individual hearing is the merits hearing. “No case found for this A-Number” can mean the Notice to Appear has not been filed with the court yet. Your written hearing notice is the official source — if the two differ, call the Van Nuys Immigration Court.
- Moved? File Form EOIR-33/IC with the court that has your case within five days (8 C.F.R. § 1003.15(d)(2)). A USCIS change of address does not update the court.
- Missed a hearing? An order of removal entered in your absence can sometimes be reopened — see our guide to in absentia orders.
